The informational interview
You are more candidates in the same room, and each one is individually received at the end of this “meeting”. This process saves time in the company, or because the recruiters do not give information about the company and working conditions sometimes only once instead of repeating as many times as candidates meeting. Rest assured, there is no question of open competition with other candidates. Stick to remain courteous as normal, possibly ask some questions, but the purpose is not to get noticed at all costs.
The Selective Service
In this case, all candidates are not received individually. It is your responsibility to arouse the envy of the recruiter to learn more about your motivation. Again, the goal is not to be the one who talks the most or the loudest. Companies that adopt this type of selection you expect to see more natural and spontaneous, that your audience is not your future employers.
To assess your ability to work as a team, listening skills and argumentation, it is possible that you are subjected to mock debate (during which you argue a point of view) or role-playing (which aimed at solving a question by a team of candidates). The goal remains, as in an interview, speak in a voice clear, calm and concise.
